About Acuity Behavioral Health
Founded in Atlanta in 2024, Acuity Behavioral Health is a small team of engineers and clinical workflow specialists focused on one problem: making inpatient behavioral health units safer and less exhausting to work in.
Inpatient psychiatric units are among the most demanding clinical environments. The nurses and staff who work them deal with high patient acuity, short-staffing, and documentation demands that pull them away from direct care. We are building operational AI tools that reduce those burdens -- starting with early signal detection, staffing intelligence, and documentation time -- so clinical teams can focus on what they trained for.
CEO & Co-Founder
Kevin has spent years building data infrastructure and workflow systems for hospital operations contexts, with particular focus on environments where clinical data complexity meets operational constraint. The problem he kept returning to: the gap between what monitoring systems capture and what charge nurses and nursing directors actually need to act on.
CTO & Co-Founder
Rachel's background is in clinical data systems and distributed infrastructure. She has built EHR-adjacent data pipelines and real-time monitoring tooling for healthcare operations contexts. Her approach to Acuity's architecture starts from the unit's actual data model: what gets documented, when, in what form, and what that means for building reliable signal detection on top of it.
We are headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Atlanta has a dense concentration of inpatient behavioral health facilities and a healthcare workforce that has lived through the staffing pressures of the past several years. Our early-access partnerships are grounded in that geography, and in working directly with clinical leadership who deal with these problems on every shift.
