The Platform
Three systems that keep the unit one step ahead.
Signal monitoring, staffing intelligence, and documentation assist -- each built for the operational reality of inpatient psychiatric care.
Behavioral Signal Monitoring
Acuity reads observable behavioral indicators across the unit continuously -- restlessness patterns, verbal agitation signals, environmental cues documented in nursing workflow -- and surfaces a consolidated acuity picture for the charge nurse and nursing director. When signals indicate rising acuity in a particular patient or unit zone, the charge nurse receives a flag before the situation requires intervention.
Acuity surfaces signals and supports clinical judgment. It does not diagnose, it does not make clinical decisions, and it does not replace nursing assessment.
Staffing Optimizer
Based on current unit acuity load and historical shift patterns, Acuity surfaces staffing recommendations for the next shift. CNOs and unit directors see a consolidated view of expected acuity demand versus planned coverage -- with recommended adjustments before the shift starts, not after it is already short-staffed.
Recommendations support staffing decisions. Clinical leadership retains all final decisions.
Documentation Assist
After a shift, Acuity surfaces a structured note framework for each patient based on what was monitored during the shift -- behavioral observations, acuity changes, event timestamps. Nurses review, edit, and sign off. The goal: less time assembling the narrative from memory, more time leaving on time.
Documentation assist supports charting. Nurses review and sign off on all entries.
Built to fit your existing workflow
Acuity integrates with major behavioral health EHRs and runs on standard clinical workstations and tablets already in your unit. No new devices to provision, no retraining from the ground up. Data flows within your existing infrastructure. Our implementation team configures the integration for your specific unit type and EHR environment.
We offer a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every deployment tier. Acuity operates as a business associate under your facility's covered entity designation.
- Works on existing clinical workstations and tablets
- EHR integration -- no parallel data entry
- BAA executed before go-live
- Dedicated implementation specialist for configuration
- Runs within your facility's existing network perimeter
